After Australia, everyone was talking about Kimi Antonelli; after China, everyone was talking about Oscar Piastri and the Scuderia Ferrari tragedy. But why is no one talking about George Russell?
The question could have been asked by Toto Wolff himself, who believes Russell has clearly been among the best for a long time.
“It’s a bit unfair what’s happening. Now everyone is talking about Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time world champion, whose move to Ferrari has dominated the debate in Formula 1. Then there’s Kimi Antonelli, who is really very young and very talented, and who is our driver. At the same time, George is barely mentioned; he’s in the invisible category. This is really not good, because he’s one of the best in this sport. He’s in the top three, but I’ll even dare to say he’s in the top two, and he’s on the right track to becoming the best. This was also evident at the Chinese Grand Prix. I would never give any driver a 10 on a scale of 10, but George deserves it. It’s impressive what he got out of the car, the way he managed the tires and executed the strategy. Only the greatest can do that,” praised his driver Toto Wolff.
