The four-time world champion wasn't stingy with praise, even for himself. In fact, he produced some particularly entertaining arguments, which—much to our delight—also included Helmut Marko!
Max Verstappen declared in the post-race jubilation that he could have won the 2024 world championship with McLaren, or even Ferrari. Several people were astonished to ask his boss how the recent winner could say that.
"Based on that, he can say it's absolutely true. There's no driver left who could have beaten him, only himself, and there's no other driver who could have won a championship driving a Red Bull. And since it wasn't the best car, it's obvious he would have had a chance to win the world title in another one. It was a difficult and tumultuous season, but I'm not sure we'll be as successful in 2025... If we can provide him with a car that isn't as capricious as this year's, then yes, Max will do it," said Helmut Marko.
What do you think? Does Verstappen really have no rivals other than himself, without any other teams or other drivers?
