Few people know this, but Max Verstappen is not only involved in Formula 1, the driver also has his own racing team, which has just signed a contract with Aston Martin.
This is quite interesting in light of known F1 rumors, and can be considered a rather strong approach, since Verstappen.com Racing will compete in the GT World Challenge Endurance championship with the British manufacturer's race car and its direct support.
The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will be driven by the trio of Harry King, Thierry Vermeulen, and Chris Lulham. For the latter, the challenge will be particularly exciting, as the young driver comes from a simulator background, and this will be the first racing car he'll be competing with in real life. Verstappen's team has a long history of helping young drivers take off, but this will be the first time an athlete from a virtual environment will have this opportunity:
“I’ve always dreamed of helping young drivers one day, and I’ve been working on creating this opportunity for a simulator driver for a while now. With Chris Lulham, whom I know well from the Team Redline simulator team, as well as Thierry Vermeulen and Harry King, we’re taking on an exciting new challenge. We’ll be working with a professional team in a championship that represents a serious challenge. We still have a lot of work ahead of us to get the most out of our cars and drivers, but our goal is clearly to fight in the front row. We have an exciting year ahead of us!” said Max Verstappen, who certainly doesn’t rule out joining the team one day.
Let's say after a successful period in F1 with Aston Martin...
