According to the Bahrain tests, it is clearly evident that Charles Leclerc was better than Lewis Hamilton in every aspect of the game. Dr. Helmut Marko believes that although Hamilton is capable of sudden and significant improvements, if he fails to achieve them, then it is the end for him...
Ralf Schumacher, a pundit for Sky Sport F1 in Germany, doesn't understand the hysteria surrounding Hamilton. Seeing the test results, he sees what's happening in the public sphere as a state of dissociation:
"You can't expect great things from him. Even in the most optimistic estimates for Hamilton, he's missing three or four tenths, but it's true that it's not a tragedy at this stage. Maybe he still has to get used to the car, his new situation, that kind of thing... What's happening now is equivalent to an earthquake, everyone is looking at him as a messiah. He's a seven-time world champion who has obviously changed teams to fight for the world title again. In theory, he'll be able to do it, but I'm completely convinced it won't be in his first year. I think those who expect that from him are living in a dream world. Meanwhile, if Charles Leclerc continues to be better than him and the rest, it's obvious that for Lewis Hamilton, it's the end, he's already past his peak. And we all know that Scuderia Ferrari isn't exactly patient with drivers who don't perform... So, in the end, Ferrari could be The team that's burying Lewis's career. All of this could also be true if Lewis Hamilton beats Charles Leclerc. But I see little chance of that happening," Ralf Schumacher reflected.
