George Russell believes the 2025 season could end disastrously, as Lando Norris and his teammates have an advantage the sport has never seen before.
According to the Briton, there wasn't even such a gap when Max Verstappen won almost every race of the season...
“The current McLaren is clearly capable of winning every race with it. They have a strong duo, I think they could do it, but life will intervene one way or another... Either way, I've never seen such an advantage, they're stronger than Red Bull Racing has ever been. Back then, you knew if Max was in that car, you had virtually no chance of beating him on your own. The season is long, hopefully there will be times when everything doesn't fall into place for them, and we have to seize those opportunities.”
Unfortunately, they clearly seem to be doing something better than the rest of the field, the difference becomes particularly evident when the tires start to heat up. At that point, they have clearly found something, they are capable of making a huge difference. Of course, we will still improve, but overall, I don't think we will be able to challenge them on our own." - George Russell painted a bleak picture of the future.
