The season-opening Australian Grand Prix is fast approaching, and things aren't going well at Red Bull. At least, that's what the team's technical director recently suggested.
Pierre Wache has indeed reported that there is some disappointment regarding the level of progress they have managed to achieve. It seems to be much less than that of their main rivals, and the car is not really performing as they would have liked or expected.
"I think the first day of testing went well. However, from the second day onwards, some of our problems appeared, which prevented us from finding the right operating range. This fundamentally determines our competitiveness. It's currently a serious problem... I think the start of the season will be very close, because McLaren and Ferrari are also faster than us," Wache said optimistically despite the difficult situation.
