Oscar Piastri has set the bar high over the past two years and wants to raise it again this year. The Australian isn't satisfied with a secondary role and also wants to win the individual world championship title in addition to the constructors' title!
In his first season he finished in 9th place, then finished 4th in his second season, and this year he is clearly and tacitly aiming for the individual world champion title:
“I think I can become a contender for the 2025 world championship. I’m aware there’s still room to improve and learn, but I’ve reached the point where there are days when I’m equipped with all the tools necessary to win. I just need to put things together. Many have said I lacked consistency, but consistency alone isn’t enough to perform well; you also need raw speed and good tire management. I think above all I needed to improve in qualifying and put my laps together better.”
"I've often made my own task more difficult by finishing a few places behind the achievable position... Now I've reached the point where I just have to pull things together. We're already fighting in the leading group, and this is where it's much easier to see if something isn't done correctly, but I feel I already have everything in me to win the world championship title," said Oscar Piastri confidently.
