Although Lando Norris failed in the individual battle, his performance on the final lap secured McLaren the Constructors' World Championship. It's already a done deal, but in 2025, he hopes to also win the Drivers' Championship.
Norris acknowledges the defeat and the fact that in 2024 Max Verstappen was better than him, but he also sees a lesson behind this missed opportunity:
“Coming second, missing out on victory is always painful, but at the same time—this may sound strange—I'm already looking forward to 2025 knowing I'm capable of fighting. I know myself, my strengths, my limitations; no one knows better than me where I need to improve. There are areas where I'm strong, others where I'm not so strong. I'm open to criticism and ready to evolve where necessary.”
Last year, my qualifying performance wasn't the best, but this year I was almost twice as good, and I got a lot of pole positions. This year, I didn't have that little extra that would have allowed me to beat Max Verstappen, with whom I could have fought. However, I definitely had the feeling that he is also human, and if I improve my technique here and there, I can definitely say that I have the strength to beat him.

"I feel that this year I have already come close to that in the last races, where I have achieved good results. I hope that 2025 will be a year where I will be competing for the world championship title from the first race!" - Norris said with determination.
