It wasn't an easy weekend at the Australian Grand Prix, but McLaren, and especially Lando Norris, managed to win with exemplary professionalism, never giving up on the chance to win. At Woking, they made no secret of the fact that they expect similar successes in the future...
Lando Norris put it into words, saying: The best of 2025 is McLaren, and whoever wants to become world champion has to beat them:
"We know there's still a lot of work to do on this year's car. We can't let ourselves go. If we relax in this situation, we'll fail. If we think everything's fine, they'll surpass us. We won't do that service!"
But we see and feel that this year we are the favorites, the team has done a sensational job, our car is truly competitive. But we are aware that there will be races where we will also suffer. For example, if Bahrain had been the season opener, I don't think we would have won... But it is certain that this year we will be the team to beat if someone wants to fight for the world title. We have two drivers in the lead, who will push each other, and Oscar Piastri will not do the service of making mistakes often. Already in qualifying, we performed well because we motivated each other to go faster, and we extracted the last tenths of a second from the car. So, the car is good, but our team is also very strong, and this is only the beginning," Norris pointed out.
