McLaren sent a particularly strong message, this time to its own drivers. Andrea Stella stressed that any driver who does not support the team's interests will not be long-term with the team!
Stella didn't hold back, the team principal doesn't want to see any trace of the debates that sometimes complicated McLaren's tactics last year:
“With us, there is no first and second, our two drivers have the same opportunities, we approach the year with the same principles as last year. We are proud of our performance last year, as well as the behavior of our drivers and their positive collaboration. We have learned a lot from 2024, including the human element. We were competitive, we will be, we cannot afford mistakes, which always requires close collaboration. We have learned all the lessons from last year, everyone will have their chance to prove themselves. However, it is important to clarify that if someone does not believe in McLaren's principles, then they are not the right person, nor the right driver for the team, and we will part ways,” Stella said with a very firm message.
