Williams launched its 2025 car, and Andrea Kimi Antonelli completed his first kilometers in a Mercedes 2025 in Spain.
It's necessary to prepare, because despite Antonelli possibly being the most mileage-dogged rookie of all time (with nearly 30 races under his belt, he already has over 9,000 km according to his team principal), he hasn't looked at all convincing so far. At the private test, he used the 2020 Mercedes, the W11, with camouflage paint, and the fact that they have great confidence in Antonelli is well illustrated by the fact that he could be the first rookie to join the team since 2010.
The team sees him as a future world champion, even though he seriously damaged the Mercedes during his debut, during the first free practice session of the Italian Grand Prix. Since then, he has driven the current race car again in Mexico and then also took to the track in Abu Dhabi.
