After the verbal exchanges and tensions of recent weeks, a major meeting and total peace are being prepared at Mercedes for Lewis Hamilton's final Grand Prix.
Toto Wolff spoke ahead of Abu Dhabi and reflected on the good times, while also indicating that Lewis Hamilton could continue with a rival next year, but will always remain part of the Mercedes family:
“After twelve incredible years, we have reached the point where this weekend, Lewis and I are writing the final chapter of our shared story. Let’s put our hand on our heart, because this has been no ordinary journey! When we began our collaboration in 2013, we never imagined how far we could go together… We have won six individual world championship titles, as well as eight constructors’ titles. Along the way, we have achieved 84 victories, 78 poles, 153 podiums, and we have written the most successful driver-team relationship in the history of Formula 1. Many moments of success and highs, as well as many difficulties that we have overcome together. However, our relationship is much more than just a statistic; it is a legacy that goes beyond even sport.”

"There is, for example, the joint effort to make F1 fairer, our shared fight for inclusion. We started this together, and it was a huge honor to work with Lewis Hamilton. This weekend will not be just a race weekend, but a celebration. We are celebrating and closing everything I have talked about, saying our goodbyes and trying to build momentum and strength for the future. We are opening a new chapter with George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, but for now, it is more important than ever to conclude our collaboration with Lewis Hamilton well. Thank you, and once again, let's do it one last time!" - Toto Wolff made an emotional farewell to the Mercedes success smith.
