No less than £1 billion - a contract of truly incredible magnitude has been revealed by the British press, which remains incredible even if Max Verstappen would not earn that amount in a single season.
The report mentions an annual salary of $200 million, which is already an absolute record; no one has ever earned that much in Formula 1 in a single season. The newspaper also seems to be aware that the proposed contract is long-term and comes with hefty bonuses.
Apparently, Aston Martin is taking the matter so seriously that its CEO, Jefferson Slack, is already using the idea of "if they manage to sign Max Verstappen" as a trump card in sponsorship negotiations...

Aston Martin, of course, denies everything; their official position is a firm denial: they are not looking for a new driver. Of course. Just as they didn't look for Adrian Newey, and then when it was revealed, they didn't play the same card there either. Oh, yes! It's interesting to think about what would happen if, say, Red Bull Racing messed up development without Newey in 2025, while Aston Martin got things back on track.
We leave the rest to your imagination...
