Dark clouds are gathering over the Red Bull Racing team, and even team principal Christian Horner isn't denying it.
Max Verstappen's surprise victory at the Japanese Grand Prix may have briefly distracted from the deepening crisis, but it was in Bahrain that the blow fell...
“The car behaves in the same way as last year’s model, although I must add that in 2024 we haven’t had any brake issues. The balance deteriorates mainly between corner entry and the middle of the corner, which is an aerodynamic issue. The main concern is that we can’t find a solution to this. We understand the problems, but the problem is that the solutions we’ve tried with our tools unfortunately don’t match what we experience on the track. We need to dig deep into this, because if the two don’t overlap, we won’t be able to get out of the hole. Our experts are in place, they’ve built sensational cars in recent years, and I sincerely trust that they can solve these problems too. We just need to find a solution regarding our simulator and our wind tunnel, because currently, it’s as if we’re looking at two different clocks with two different times,” said Horner.
