New winds are blowing at Haas, where this season, under the leadership of Ayao Komatsu, promises radical changes. As such, they approach 2025 with a new pair of drivers, the support of Toyota Gazoo Racing, and a historic innovation in the sport!
The latter signifies the first female engineer in Formula 1, which was made possible thanks to the team's position changes. The young woman, named Laura Müller, will be Esteban Ocon's right-hand man. According to Komatsu, this duo is a winner!
“She’s incredibly determined. And since Esteban is also a similar person, I think they’re a really good match. Laura’s great at diving into a given problem, digging deep, and proposing several possible solutions. Some people stop at the first valid answer, but she’s not one of them. She has a fantastic work ethic, knowing that if she finds a solution to a problem, she also has to see that there are ten other questions that need to be answered with it.”
"I am impressed by her commitment, I believe they will have great success together," said the first lady, Ayao Komatsu, on the pit wall.
