Where have the pre-season excitement, the honeymoons, the carefree photoshoots gone? When it comes to Ferrari, we're hearing phrases like "suffering, decline, then next year" more and more often. None of this comes as a surprise to Hamilton; he expected it:
"I'm not surprised by what's happening right now. In a way, I expected it. After all, we're talking about the most prestigious team in the history of F1. It's natural that we're in the spotlight more, that more is written, filmed, and thought about us; everyone has an opinion. It's not easy; recognition doesn't happen overnight; we have to give ourselves time. We're evolving, we're working hard, we're trying to channel that passion and energy that have always characterized Ferrari and that can propel us forward. Everyone in the team is putting their heart and soul into the project; we're traveling this roller coaster together, and I have no doubt that we'll eventually reach our goal," Lewis Hamilton summed up, explaining what he expects and how he feels.
