Franco Collapinto's meteoric rise and excellence could not only mark the start of a new career, but also the return of a nation to Formula 1. Indeed, it could also represent a Grand Prix with strong traditions!
It's none other than the Argentine Grand Prix, whose return is already being officially negotiated in Brazil. The Argentine delegation was represented by the country's Minister of Tourism and Sports, while Formula 1 was represented by Stefano Domenicali. After discussing plans and ideas, Cesar Carman, president of the Argentine Automobile Club, said:
“Stefano was really open and kind with us. He said he would like to see another Grand Prix on the racing calendar, but he didn't hide the fact that he expected a lot of work from us, and that we had to start as soon as possible if we were serious about our intentions. We have a lot to do; we need to improve our current circuit so that it can obtain the highest-level certification required for F1. We are very optimistic, but it is difficult to make predictions. However, if I had to, I think an Argentine Grand Prix could become a reality in 2027-2028. I won't hide it, the debut and successes of Franco Colapinto motivate us enormously; a lot is happening thanks to him. The fans are enthusiastic, everyone is in a frenzy; these are dream days in Argentina,” said Carman.
