Günther Steiner believes it takes about six months for the driver to feel the support of Ferrari fans and/or the industry.
However, if the results do not come within this timeframe, the current hype could easily backfire.
"I'm sure he'll have his time. There will be a grace period during which no one can criticize him. But it won't last forever, and it won't extend until the end of the season. I think he'll have to show results, and serious results, in a maximum of six months!"
But he shouldn't stress about it. As a professional athlete, he would never embark on something he thought wasn't suitable for, something he couldn't perform well in. If someone thinks like that, it's better not to start... And if by chance something goes wrong, he'll have time to deal with it when it does.
"Lewis is convinced that he will succeed, he does not waste unnecessary energy disrupting this conviction with negative feelings. He will simply give his best, which is nothing less than bringing Scuderia Ferrari back to the top after 2007," mused Günther Steiner.
It's certain that if he succeeds, he'll certainly go to heaven as an eight-time world champion. On the other hand, if Charles Leclerc beats him, the ground could get very hot under his feet... We're looking forward to some exciting months!
