They didn't wait for Wednesday's collective tests; they already unveiled their new car last night, which they will put on the track tomorrow in Bahrain, during a filmed day.
The team opted for the traditional online presentation, during which it released graphics of the AMR25. According to Fernando Alonso, this model differs by 95% from last year's car. The sidepods and the front wing, which have undergone significant development, have been modified. Their goal is to achieve greater speed in slow corners than ever before. In addition, the cooling, engine fairing, and overall appearance have been improved in terms of the aero package's efficiency.
All these changes have been made to improve the car's handling, in order to avoid the difficulties encountered last year, when Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll suffered greatly. With the innovations listed above, the Aston Martin could also be stronger on technical circuits, which were a weak point last year, while hoping for greater competitiveness.
“For this year’s car, we’ve used all the lessons and feedback from last season. Our goal was to provide a much more manageable car for Lance and Fernando, and we’ve worked hard to master it and make it more reliable,” said Andy Cowell, the team’s principal.
