“Everything is going well, that was proven on the track today. We've made a big step forward in terms of quality, the guys at the factory did a great job. We can say without hesitation that the FW47 clearly represents a step forward. Last year, we lost a lot of time due to exceeding the weight limit, but we've improved the materials used, the build quality, which allows us to start in a much better position. Our previous car was very weak in the headwind, and we've also refined this aspect a lot, as it caused us a lot of pain. The GPS data showed that we were suffering a lot in windy conditions.
"We have to see where the competition is, but in any case, I'm very positive. I'd like to see our progress, that we're in a good position, but it's already a very good sign that we're essentially operating as a top team. With the arrival of Carlos Sainz, we've made a huge leap forward, he's a great asset to the team! Carlos had the best season of his life last year, he put in a sensational performance. He will be a great reference for me, I can learn a lot from him, and I hope he learns from me too," said Alexander Albon gratefully.
